The past week has consisted of goblins mooning, collections themed around feces, a multitude of [insert name] town goblin copies and a bunch of other free garbage. So you could say the NFT market isn’t in the best spot we’ve seen. Nevertheless, Page One rages on.
I feel inclined to re-emphasize that Page One is purely informational. My goal when writing P1 is to provide information free of personal interpretation and while that isn’t entirely possible, I like to think I do so pretty well. Still, I often talk about things I own, or have owned, or might own in the future (I talk about what I own nearly every day in The One, so it’s all very public). Nothing here is advice nor recommendation, nor does inclusion in P1 constitute an endorsement of any given collection. I make no calls and give no price targets. The goal is the same as it has always been: to assist you in making better decisions, not to make decisions for you.
As always, thanks for reading and subscribing (big button above) and come hang out in The One - we’ve got nothing to sell you, but you’ll find plenty of things to buy.

News and Notes:
Cryptoon Goonz enter the portal to Wonky World
On May 26, Cryptoon Goonz entered the portal to Wonky World, transforming each Goon into its crazy and colorful counterpart on the other side. Similar to Space Doodles or DeadGods, Wonky Goonz are not an airdrop: Goonz sent through the portal are returned in their Wonky form and can be changed back by going through the portal again. A collaboration with Urban Outfitters is next on the agenda for the Goonz, whose plans also include an animated series and staking for physical figures and art. Check out the portal Goonz here.
EightBit Me gains some personality with EightBit Homes
Last week the EightBit team introduced Homes, a collection of free backgrounds holders can apply to their EightBits. Homes are not NFTs and do not cost anything - even gas - to apply. Four free Homes are available now, but holders who own a Cryptone Color or Turf Plot can use them as Homes as well. While they don’t do much at the moment, the introduction of Homes could be a sign of things to come from the EightBit team.
goblintown.wtf continues making the burger
In less than two weeks, goblintown has become one of the most intriguing memes the NFT market has ever seen - skyrocketing in price in the process. By utilizing memes and mystery, the collection of disgusting creatures has seemingly captured the attention of the entire crypto-sphere. Regardless of one’s opinion of them, the non-stop memes, community speculation (leading to a less-than-flattering denial from Beeple) and hilariously strange Twitter Spaces have kept the goblins atop our collective minds. Their assertion that one goblin equals one burger has the community thinking an airdrop is coming, but it’s next to impossible to determine anything about this project. One thing is for sure - you’re gonna be hearing people say “Do Kwon Burger” and “Gary Pee Sauce” for at least a few months.
Killabears grab some attention with airdrop announcement trailer
After releasing a high-quality teaser trailer for their upcoming airdrop, Killabears caught some attention (notably from Seth Green) over the weekend. The collection of animated teddy bears was created by Mikael Tyrsen, co-founder of mobile game studio Umbrella Games, and artist Memo Angeles. Holders will be able to claim a Pixabear compatible with the Arcade metaverse and can mix and match traits from their bears to build their own in the upcoming Workshop. They’ve certainly garnered some attention - now, can they keep it?
LinksDAO inks partnership with golf brand Callaway
The dream of owning a real world golf course got a little closer for LinksDAO members last week when the organization announced a strategic partnership with world-renowned golf brand Callaway, who also joins the cap table as an equity investor. Members will receive exclusive benefits and discounts on Callaway gear, adding another name to an impressive list of partners. Founded by Mike Dudas and Jim Daily, LinksDAO is a global community of golfers creating a true web3 country club with the goal of owning a top golf course.
Martian Premier League kicks off Boot Camp this week
The Martian Premier League is taking the first concrete steps towards creating a play-to-earn Football Manager-esque game with the launch of Boot Camp on June 4. Holders will claim their players on Polygon, choose their attributes, pick a team and compete in a variety of challenges over six weeks, earning $REDDIES (used to upgrade players) in the process. Since launching almost three months ago, the MPL team has expanded to include over 15 employees, published financial transparency reports and released the first of a series of comics. Look out for more info on Boot Camp and what comes next over the coming weeks.
mfers begin their next era in June
Yesterday lead mfer Sartoshi posted a sketched timeline on Twitter with June 2022 labeled as “The Next Era” for mfers. Compared to other project founders, Sartoshi is incredibly hands-off. Despite their popularity, mfers have no website, no official Discord and no roadmap - and they haven’t needed them. The mfers community has flourished under their CC0 licensing, spawning countless derivatives (sold without fees on mfersunited) as well as community projects like mferverse. We don’t know what this “next era” consists of, but we’ll see what Sartoshi has up his sleeve at some point this month.

Worldwide Webb prepares for V2 launch
Early Tuesday morning, the Worldwide Webb team announced they are nearly ready to push an updated version of their “free-to-play interoperable MMORPG metaverse.” WW3 was among the first interoperable metaverse projects, debuting late last year, and have been working diligently to add new features, collections and updates. Apartment holders will have early access to the V2 version of the game which brings a variety of updates including new lighting systems, improved chat features and in-game apartment access. Look out for the V2 launch sometime soon.
Recent Launches:
Admit One to gmoney’s new community and marketplace
gmoney, the thought-leading Ape and web3 ambassador, is building his own community his way. Admit One minted last week for free, although only to those who held gmoney POAPs were eligible. The group will act as stalwart advisors as he continues to push the crypto space towards the values it was started with - read the manifesto for more details on that. Alongside the community, gmoney is launching a zero-fee marketplace on which NFTs he has worked on can be traded, alleviating the danger of fake collections and scams while creating a curated, intimate home for his collections. But the real lesson here is - claim all the POAPs you can.
AINightbirds change name for “better relationships” with Moonbirds
What’s old is new again. Created by using Moonbirds as a base for AI art and originally titled AIMoonbirds, the collection changed their name after PROOF Founder Kevin Rose tweeted about removing collections using the Moonbirds name. After the name change, Rose went on to tweet a picture of an AINightbird, sending sales into a frenzy. The collection’s success is a bit surprising given its derivative nature, but that didn’t stop copycats from following: this week we’ve seen AI Goblins, AI Bored Apes and more. Don’t these people know about BGAN Punks?
Akumu Dragonz create a cross-chain ecosystem
For the first time, a notable NFT collection is creating an ecosystem that lives on two separate blockchains. Akumu Dragonz is the sister collection of Solana’s Boryoku Dragonz which have seen over 145,000◎ of volume on Magic Eden. Their goal is to create a narrative-driven community that lives and interacts across chains. The success of the Dragonz as a cross-chain ecosystem could determine whether other projects follow suit. Unfortunately, their contract suffered an exploit during the allowlist mint, allowing one address to mint nearly 200 units. As a result, they’ve delayed the rest of their mint until the exploit is fixed - stay tuned to their Twitter for updates.
rektguy ropes in the Dogg upon reveal
Everybody’s favorite flashing stick figure revealed last Friday and provided some reprieve from an otherwise lackluster market. Some of the usual suspects (including Punk 6529, MoonCat2878 and Anonymoux picked up 1/1s while Snoop Dogg also got rekt, changing his Twitter avatar on the 28th and causing an explosion of volume. While the website simply says “lol” under utility and roadmap, holders can access the Degenz discord where OSF and the team provide daily market sentiment and analysis.

tigerbob brings Gossamer Rozen’s signature tattoo to the blockchain
While Gossamer Rozen has plenty of experience in NFTs - she’s released a number of works dating back to March 2021, were the lead artist for Woodies and had a piece in PROOF’s Grails drop - tigerbob is Gossamer’s first independent, large-scale collection. Each 50x50 pixel tiger is handmade and pays homage to one of Gossamer’s first tattoo designs. Rozen is a meticulously intentional artist, which is demonstrated by the detail in both her work and the team’s thorough communication. tigerbob won’t stop with this collection, though: the roadmap calls for forays into fashion and merchandising, collaborations and integration in various metaverses.

wassieverse welcomes you on June 3
inversebrah and team unveil the wassieverse this Friday, June 3. The first of their “experiences,” a 3D meme-ready photobooth called Canvas, will be usable upon launch. Forgoing the play-to-earn aspect that slows many crypto-games, wassieverse experiences - including bull-riding, wassie-flying and wassie pinball - will focus on building a strong community by creating games that are actually fun. Read more details in this Medium article and watch for custom wassie memes this Friday.
NFT Market Overview:
Today I’ve snagged some higher time-frame charts from Nansen. Overall, volume is gross while users and transactions remain about as sticky as ever. The more telling aspect of these charts to me is the number of transactions from mints versus the volume related to mints (show in yellow on both charts). For the week ending May 30, nearly 25% of all transactions were mints, while only about 12% of volume went to new mints. While this ratio may not be too much higher than some weeks in the past, it supports the case that we are very much still in a gambler’s NFT market (some might call it the “free mint meta”). Traders are willing to roll the dice on things that seem cheap - particularly after the rapid success of goblintown - yet established collections continue to lack the interest needed to prevent slipping floors.
