News and Notes:
Kaiju Kings open the KaijuMart
The KaijuMart opened for shoppers on September 1st with a range of physical and digital goods priced in $RWASTE and $SCALES. Items available for purchase include clothing like hats, shirts and hoodies, a limited edition KaijuKingz x RAMAWORKS mechanical keyboard, allowlist spots, and Augmints, a range of new traits which can be equipped on Kaiju NFTs. The team at Augmint Labs plans to continue offering new items over time, with new Augmints dropping on a bi-weekly basis. Check out the store here and read more details here.
Moonbirds announce upcoming Mythics collection
Last week’s FuturePROOF presentation brought with it a slew of exciting information around the PROOF ecosystem. Moonbirds Mythics was the most notable announcement - a 20,000 piece collection that acts as the first official expansion to Moonbirds. Once the collection launches in early 2023, 25 randomly selected nested Moonbirds will hatch a Mythic each day. Oddities can be burned to hatch a Mythic, but this is also limited to 25 per day. If 50 Mythics are hatched every day, it will take ~13 months to hatch the entire collection.
The event also saw PROOF announce a $50M funding round lead by a16z, tease a Q1 ‘23 unveiling of the PROOF token, and unveil more details about Project Highrise - for a full breakdown of the event, check their FAQs here.
The Otherside releases new trailer teasing news in Q4
The new trailer follows a Koda’s journey through a portal into the Bored Ape universe where it loses a mysterious glowing vial of liquid in the swampy water - the same vial that washes up to the Ape in the original trailer. While it doesn’t give us any details about what’s coming next, it sheds a bit of light on where the Kodas came from and how the Apes get tangled up in their world. The release mentions more details will come in Q4, so expect more information to be released in October at the earliest.
RENGA falls after surprise reveal Friday night
Holders were welcomed to open their Black Boxes and reveal their characters on Friday evening. In typical fashion for the project, the reveal date was unknown before this announcement. Rarer pieces in the collection excellently showcase DirtyRobot’s colorful, flowing style, but some have voiced disappointment with more common traits. Regardless, the collection maintains a sense of togetherness while bringing a a higher level of diversity than many avatar sets.
Recent Launches:
DigiDaigaku Spirits claimed by holders on Friday
Each DigiDaigaku received a matching Spirit on Friday. Spirits will be used to claim Heroes. Digi holders who redeem their matching Spirit will receive the best Heroes, followed by Digi holders with a Spirit that does not match and finally those who have a Spirit, but no Digi. While they didn’t release too many details about how the Heroes will be used, some curious sleuths found data in the contract related to adventures and other on-chain interactions. Founder Gabriel Leydon said he would offer more details on these interactions soon, so expect that sometime this week.
Gangster All Star holds Golden Saucer Auction
8 months after it was first previewed in January, Gangster All Star completed their initial sale, which took the form of a Metadrop-esque forward auction. The collection contains 50 anime-inspired gangs, each with their own unique style and characteristics. The first item on their roadmap is to continue Blackboy, the manga series the collection’s artist, Duang, first start in 2014. Tokens should be airdropped to auction participants on Wednesday and the reveal date has not yet been announced.
y00ts launch Monday evening after a day of delays
After delaying their Sunday mint to sort out some contract bugs, y00ts launched late Monday evening. Minters receive a t00b, which they can open on Friday to reveal their y00t or leave it unrevealed. The past month has seen the project become one of the most anticipated mints of the year so far and the team at Dust Labs has no intention of slowing down - half an hour after the mint started, they announced a $7M fund raise from investors including Magic Eden, Jump and FTX.
Many have been unable to mint yet, instead receiving a variety of error messages on the website. While those on the waitlist were initially supposed to get access 19 hours after the mint started, the team has said they will extend this period if necessary.
The first y00ts sale was for 200◎, but the floor fell to around 140◎ as listings rolled in. DUST fell from about $2.70 before mint to $2.30 after it had started, while DeGods fell from 545◎ before to about 430◎ after.

Upcoming Launches:
Atari X partners with Billy the Butcher for retro art collection
After wading into the Web3 space last year with a collection of commemorative consoles, Atari is back with a bit more flair. They’ve partnered with artist Billy the Butcher to create a collection of 2,600 generative posters in the retro style that Butcher is largely known for. Butcher has previously worked with clients including Marvel, Stranger Things and the New York Times. 15 original Atari IPs will feature in the collection, which could act as an access pass for future projects.
BRICK blends digital goods and IRL spaces starting Sep 7
Founded by musicians Lee Spielman and Garrett Stevenson, BRICK plans to create a physical venue in LA which will double as a concert hall and creative community space. Previously mentioned in P1 #34, BRICK could become an example of how NFT collections can use their community to create impactful real-world spaces. The mint begins Thursday at 12PM EST.
Jadu AVAs bring in Michael Bay for new AR Universe
After successfully launching two augmented reality collections in 2021, Jadu is premiering their next big thing. Their new collection features 11,111 AR robot avatars that will be at the center of “Web3’s definitive AR gaming platform.” Michael Bay, director of Transformers and many other action films, is working with the team to design some of the rarest AVAs while assisting with production of a cinematic trailer. With over $30M in secondary volume so far and $40M of funding, Jadu could be poised to become a leading in the augmented reality gaming.

NFT Market Overview:
It’s now been a couple weeks since X2Y2 announced the ability for buyers to choose whether or not to pay royalties. Concurrently, sudoswap has been experiencing an increase in exposure as more and more projects and users learn about the NFT AMM. The charts below show weekly volume on OpenSea, X2Y2 and sudoswap respectively. OpenSea saw about 50,000Ξ in volume, X2Y2 about 6,500Ξ and sudoswap about 4,500Ξ.
Despite the fears of project developers and artists everywhere, X2Y2 has not seen much of a change in weekly volume yet. While they have may have bested LooksRare (for the time being) by racing to the bottom, optional royalties don’t seem to be driving users to the platform - in fact, nearly 90% of users paid 100% of royalties last week.
sudoswap has continued gaining traction in the weeks since the sudo-bonanza. Although nascent, the marketplace has shown rather consistent volume. Projects are continuing to experiment with the idea of owning their own liquidity as a method of income that could one day replace royalties. As more collections and communities become interested in sudoswap - something their recent $SUDO announcement could spur - the marketplace could become a real contender for second place, or more.
