Announcements and such:
A few real notes this week. I’m going to be dropping the frequency of Page One NFT recaps down to once per week and attempting to replace the midweek edition with a Twitter thread plus a small recap in the Page One channel inside The One on Discord. This will allow me to post at a more consistent time every week while opening up some time to work on other stuff we want to get cooking. As always, thoughts and feedback are appreciated - let us know what you want to see from Page One on Twitter, in the comments here, or in The One. I’d love to hear what we could do better, what we do well and where would you like to see us go from here.
In order to prevent overflowing your inbox, the current plan is for my NFT recaps to come out Mondays or Tuesdays while tolks continues bringing the fungible fire on Saturdays. Again, any thoughts or comments are appreciated. Oh and I’m gonna turn the TLDR section into an actual TLDR section for those of you who hate reading.
Follow me on twitter here to keep up with threads and hit the button below to come hang out. And of course, thanks for reading.

News and Notes:
ASM Brains will receive an airdrop of $ASTO token on March 29th. Every brain qualifies for the same amount of $ASTO and boxed brains will be able to claim once they are unboxed. ASM, short for Altered State Machine, is the first platform for “decentralized intelligence,” as each Brain is an AI that will eventually be capable of performing a variety of tasks from gaming and trading to chatting and acting as a digital assistant. They boast a lengthy list of reputable investors and partners, including Fluf World, Animoca Brands and Delphi Digital. Check out their website below to learn more.
Azuki has resurfaced on top volume charts (and Gem sweeper bots) as rumors fly about what might be in store at the Garden Party in Los Angeles on March 30th. Although the rumors are just that - rumors - it’s not uncommon for information to find its way through the community before being publicly announced and if they were to make a big announcement anywhere, it seems plausible they’d do so at their first IRL event.
BattleFly opened the Silo for staking on Thursday. Once a BattleFly is staked, it will reveal piece by piece over two weeks with the first mod revealing after 48 hours. 5 $Magic must be staked alongside each BattleFly. While in the Silo, holders earn Nectar - BF’s ERC1155 utility token - but if a BF is unstaked before it is fully revealed, all accumulated Nectar evaporates. The BattleFly ecosystem has been meticulously crafted to encourage a robust, inelastic economy. Read their full whitepaper here for full details.

Capsule House detailed some of their plans ahead of the release of their revised roadmap. The capsules will continue to hatch species by species: humans are next, followed by demihumans and subhumans. Other “upcoming explorations” include “pursuit of tokenization,” music scores for each species, IRL events, new IP projects, physical merch and more. While the announcement lacks solid dates, Seerlight is an artistic force and looks poised to continue growing the Capsule House ecosystem throughout the year.
Coolman’s Universe signature character, Speshie, appeared in a new ad campaign for Crocs (yes, the shoes) on the 21st. While the collaboration seems to be limited to the ad partnership, it further demonstrates the partnership opportunities available for legacy brands and web3 communities. Web2 x Web3 partnerships will continue to form, grow, prosper and fail as projects experiment with new forms of collaboration - some of which will work better than others. One might expect more out of this collaboration in the future, as the Coolmans certainly have a fondness for amphibious shoes.
Legions, Bridgeworld and the whole TreasureDAO will be receiving a fresh look. John Patten briefly detailed the upcoming redesign in their Discord, stating that Treasure will undergo a “one-time, full facelift” including design updates for “iconography, logos, on-chain art, and more.” Don’t expect this to come too soon, though - it should be ready in the next few months. Since the Treasure Marketplace relaunched after the brutal exploit, things have gone rather smoothly. Bridgeworld continues to receive updates and tuning and players are continually generating feedback for the team to consider.

Realm will soon be listed on the Treasure Marketplace and integrated into the $MAGIC ecosystem. The collection minted out a few weeks ago and had always been clear about their intent to participate in the Treasureverse but the Treasure Market has expanded more than was previously expected. Realm’s listing follows listings for BattleFly and Peek-A-Boo as well as Toadstoolz, which will mint in April. In the meantime, you can buy Realm on Tofu and read up on what they’ve got going on here.
WizardsDAO hosted a Twitter Spaces with CrypToadz on Thursday discussing what’s going on with both projects and what it means to them to build a CC0 collection. The Wizards have gained direction and structure since their inception in mid-January and are a great example of a web3 organization making it easy for members to drop in and find tasks that they could help with. Three Wizards are auctioned daily on their site. Find all the info you could want on the Wiz Hub - link here.
Recent Launches:
(B)APETAVERSE minted on the 22nd and has seen a large share of volume over the past few days. The 3D avatars are the debut collection from BAPE, the well-known Japanese fashion brand. The brand has been a cultural staple for decades, collaborating with a laundry list of celebrities and other brands. Given their lengthy history and institutional connections, this will be one to keep an eye on.
ESSENCE// from FVCK_RENDER has been minting in phases since the 23rd when CRYSTAL holders claimed theirs for free. They also have the opportunity to purchase an additional essence for 0.2e before the public sale on the 27th, which will cost 0.469e. Starting on April 6th, ESSENCEs can be redeemed for FVCK_AVATARs. RENDER is gearing up for the launch of his upcoming ecosystem, LVCIDIA, in which avatars and crystals will play some role.
Kiwami is the latest Azuki-inspired anime social club pfp. The collection minted using a lowest-price Dutch auction starting at 0.5e and progressing quickly down to 0.1e. Regardless of what price someone purchased at, they were able to claim a refund that made their cost equivalent to the lowest price paid (in this case, 0.1e). Kiwami isn’t the first collection to use this mechanism and likely won’t be the last. The Kiwami team sports a notable face - Mouse Dev, founder of Anonymice, who helped the team with smart contracts. Reveal is planned for March 30th.
MAX PAIN by XCOPY was released as an open edition for 10 minutes via Nifty Gateway on Thursday night. A number of other pieces were sold alongside the open edition, including a few smaller editions that were auctioned and pieces that required the burning of older XCOPYs to mint. The sale was an incredible display of the demand for high-quality cryptoart from one of the space’s finest, selling 7,394 pieces in only ten minutes on Nifty Gateway, a platform that requires users to take a few additional steps in order to purchase. The Glitch King remains comfortably atop his throne.
OKPC is a collection of pixel art created by Scott Dodge and a bunch of other cryptoartists including Gremplin (Toadz, Nouns), Nyx (Crypto Coven) to name a few. OKPC allows users to collect these artworks and change which one displays on their NFT. Holders can also design their own art using the paint app that will be launching sometime soon. OKPC has no explainer documents or Discord and allocated reserved units to people who responded to a tweet in December (turns out not every tweet is engagement farming!). The tweet below from John Palmer gives a little more context on what OKPC does.
Peacefall minted earlier this week, slowly creeping towards sell-out until a rush of sales came in on Friday morning. The collection, which was illustrated by Koji Ogata, the artist behind the Double Dragon video game, describes itself as “part game, part social experiment.” Players will compete against each other in a series of rounds, beginning with a period of peace and ending with a battle. Winners grow stronger, granting them favor in future battles. The social experiment part comes from the fact that ultimately, the goal of the collection is to “push for peace” and stop all fighting - when this happens is up to the holders, as the fighting won’t stop until they cooperate to do so. This interesting new spin on traditional NFT game theory will kick off two weeks after the characters are revealed, which is planned for the 29th.
TIME: Issue 1 is the “first-ever fully decentralized magazine issue”. Fittingly, the cover story features Vitalik Buterin (and is certainly worth a read). TIME worked with Transient Labs to create a token that is interactive - you can read the entire magazine right on OpenSea. The issue was airdropped to wallets that held both a Genesis BABF and a Slice of Time as of the snapshot last week. TIME will continue publishing new issues as NFTs, blazing a path for other publications to follow.
VeeCon Tickets were airdropped to VeeFriends Series 1 holders and those who burnt Book Games. These NFTs are the only form of tickets to VeeCon, a multi-day conference featuring “discussions and performances from iconic and emerging leaders in NFTs and Popular Culture.” The conference will be held in Minneapolis, MN from May 19th to 22nd. Speakers include Fractional founder Andy Chorlian, Beeple, Danny Cole and too many others to name - check out the list here.
World of Women Galaxy held their public mint on Saturday the 26th. The new collection expands the WoW universe, delivering 22,222 new pieces in total - 10,000 for holders who can claim for free, 10,000 for the public via Dutch auction, and 2,222 for allowlisters. The Dutch auction opened at 3e and sold out at 1e. The collection has topped volume charts since selling out with over 12,000e in volume traded. WoW has consistently proven to be one of the top avatar collections in the space and this new collection serves to expand their community while providing even more value to holders.
Upcoming Launches:
Anata delayed their mint and will announce a new release date sometime soon. The team is working on some final polishing before release, including creating short video loops that will display on OpenSea and other marketplaces and adding more diversity to the male Anatas. Read their full announcement here and follow them on Twitter to stay updated on the new release date.
Bored Ape Yacht Club extended registration on somethingisbrewing.xyz until April 1st after some users encountered technical issues with Blockpass. While we know The Otherside is coming in April, the purpose of this registration is still opaque. The general consensus seems to be this is for the upcoming land sale, but the tweet below - and the lack of any real confirmation - opens the floor for speculation.
107e floor | 10,000 supply | 0.08e mint | minted 4-24-21

Ragnarok announced on Saturday that everything is prepped and ready for their mint and the final action item is their security audit. They are building a “web3 multiplayer role-playing game” and have a playable demo available here. While the main collection’s NFTs will be on Ethereum, the Ragnarok game is being built on Avalanche. Check out their Discord and website for more information and be on the lookout for announcements containing more specific release info, which should be coming within the next few weeks.
Seekers will mint today starting at 5pm EST. The Seekers are created by the Sylo and FLUF World teams and will integrate into the FLUF World ecosystem. Their drop mechanism is somewhat unique: 50,000 seekers are initially available for 0.10101e each, but supply is reduced linearly at a rate of 10,000 per 6 hours. So, if the collection takes 6 hours to sell out, supply will be 40,000 and so on. The Seekers seem to be the start of a serious expansion in FLUF World - read more here and on their website.
Market Overview:
It’s been a pretty good week for jpegs, at least compared to the few before it. Weekend volume was powered by World of Women Galaxy, trading over 12,000e in volume since minting on Saturday. Azuki posted the highest volume traded over the past week and will likely continue appearing near the top as we approach the Garden Party on the 30th. Other collections contributing significant volume include Muri, (B)APETAVERSE and Max Pain by XCOPY. Now I’ll say something we wouldn’t have imagined a few weeks ago: NFTs could see a decrease in liquidity because the crypto market is going UP. Do Kwon’s buying is set to continue for weeks and has reignited the bulls, so who knows where we go from here. But in the meantime, there’s more volume at the moment then there has been in a bit.
